So, with some free time yesterday I broke out the shoe and six decks and tested 4 strategies. Each player started with $300. ($10 minimums.) Player 1 did the 1-3-2-4 strategy. Player 2 pressed 1 unit on every win. Player 3 flat bet. Player 4 did no bust Martingale (No splitting, no doubling.) All except Martingale guy used perfect basic strategy. All players played the SAME HAND. Martingale only used cards until it was bustable. I ran through 6 shoes.
1-3-2-4 guy made it to the 4th shoe before bankruptcy.
Press one unit guy made it through all 6 shoes, with a $15 profit. (At on point, bank roll was down to $50.)
Flat bet guy made it through all 6 shoes, with a $45 profit.
-Martingale guy bankrupted in the middle of the 2nd shoe. Bought back in at $300 for the 3rd shoe. Bankrupted before the end of that 3rd shoe.
I'm going to try this again sometime to see if the results are similar.
Your thoughts? 😆
I ran through it again this afternoon. Martingale guy started off hot, was out midway through the first shoe. 1-3-2-4 guy made it through a deck of the second shoe. The 3-unit bet was a killer. Couldn't get a streak. Which also meant the press one unit guy wasn't far behind in going bankrupt. The flat bettor was the sole survivor through 2 shoes, with a $210 loss. That's where I stopped. Through the 2 shoes, never had a chance to split. I guess that's why they call it "luck of the draw."
Good idea, a competing strategy play off....like it.
Flat bet guy, kill myself with boredom or drinks way too soon.
Martingale, rough, way too risky.
We tried press a unit on each win, scary too.
I like the 1, 3, 2, 4 system the most, Although Id add some new betting tiers.
