I'm a low roller so, on the same day I hit four deuces on deuces wild for $500, then a half hour later I hit a royal flush for $2,000. I decided to then play bubble craps and parlayed a hard way win from $1 to just over $300. I ended up winning $700 on the bubble craps machine. So, $3,200 for the day!!
My Biggest win was at Boulder Station 2004, $44000 total between 2 Keno hand-pays (8 out of 9 on a quarter machine loaded for 4700 each), 2 Aces with kickers on $1 Video Poker Jackpots and 3 pays on a Quik Hit Progressive Slot in high limit. Fantastic Day.
David, what's the most you've ever won playing craps in one day? I can't wait to get back in the casino to try out some of your strategies. Oh, I'm still waiting on your Keno videos, lol.
The most Ive won playing craps is technically $48k, but I split it with my gambling partner. When I went to cash us in I had exactly $125 extra. I asked the cashier for 5 x $25 coins for the Video Poker machine that was right next to the cage and hit a full house on the first deal for 40 credits and another $1k. So while we won $49k that day, ONLY 48 was from Craps, of which I got $24k plus the $1k.
@Hexapplan My Keno hits, were all 8 out of 9 loaded on a 25 cent machine. Pays $4700 each.
The friend I was with that day had just locked up his machine with a hand pay. I was playing just opposite of him. We were both playing old school Keno machines with a wand and 1 screen with 80 numbers. As I was watching him wait to get paid off, mine hit for the first $4700. The machine locked up and so I switched to a 2nd machine on the end. Before the slot clerk could arrive to pay my first hand pay, I locked up that 2nd machine for another $4700. Over the next 24 hours I also hit 2 $1 machines for Aces with kickers and several progressive quik hits. If I had not lived it I would not believe it.
Over the years I have heard many outrageous stories and Im often reminded of my own day in the sun. The thing is I was a complete degenerate gambler back then. For me, all that money I won, was just more ammo. Winning on that quarters machines just let me play higher denominations and instead of losing it all back I had a run of luck. I ultimately walked with about $28000 in cash which I used to buy a car several days later. My friend used his own winning to pay off a car he owned.
@David That's a hell of a story. I've never played Keno either, so I'm not entirely sure how it plays out. I would have used the money too to try to increase to a higher amount or just outright keep the money that you won as a killer bankroll. That's crazy that you locked up 2 machines though. I've never been to Vegas before but when I go, I'm definitely visiting you guys! Thanks for sharing the story too, it was a fun read. Do you still have that car? Just curious
Ha! I'm a table minimum player. And if I hit something quick, I get the hell out. I had $1 on hard 8. Old guy hit it. I parlayed. He rolled 6 more hard 8's before a 7 out. I never had the balls to put $100 up there. I just kept collecting my $90. Still a good day, could have been better!
Love the hardway parlays. I often go on tilt following hard ways. Ive managed to hit maybe 4 1 dollar to 100 dollar parlays over the years. I had one hard way hit at 100, press to 200 and hit it again twice. Had a bit of regret for not pressing it a little, but was a nice score. That day was at Caesars. I was a little gunshow after having been buried a few k before chasing hard and finding a shooter to get out.
Most I've ever won in a 24 hour span was about $2,000 playing my old roulette strategy consisting of betting the 3 columns depending on what the previous results are. I don't know if it works on a live table though, it probably does, but I recommend an electronic machine. Of course, only problem with those is that you never know if someone behind the curtains is tampering with the machine! I won over $1,500 playing baccarat and have had several $800 plus wins playing craps.
I hit a royal flush on Let it Ride table game like 20 years ago in Reno. $10 on each spot x 1,000 and $20,000 for the royal. The table limit was $45,000 so I kind of got screwed out of $5,000.
I saw a guy win the Nevada Nickels progressive for $800K. I was heading into my day shift at the Sante Fe (pre-Station) when the machine lit up. They gave him a check for $10k on the spot, took some pics and started preparing the machine to be sent for its audit. Once the jackpot was confirmed, the payout was offered in installments over so many years. This was before the law that allowed you to cash out sooner. He tipped exactly Zero dollars.
Lately..my keno hasnt been cooperating. Next time out ill take screen shots of my play and post them.
I can't wait to show Alex your post. Keno fans unite!
The thing with Keno is its a very personal experience for me, lol. Its my zen time away from everything. Also, I keep forgetting to take my GoPro or my new hidden camera. I sort of got permission to film as long as I focus on the machine. Maybe next weekend Ill try and work something out if I find the time and we dont get shut down.
I have no experience playing video keno. I just got back from the casino. I was playing video poker and had $30 left, so I thought what the hell. I played Four Card Keno with a 5 spot on each at a max nickel bet, which was $2 a draw. After just a little bit one of the five spots hit which paid me around $400. I went back later and did the exact same thing on a different machine for around $400. I couldn't believe it!!! Which Keno game is the most popular? If this was you would you have then taken that money and played the same thing just at a higher denomination?
I typically play 20 card at 10 cents a way. At the end of my play I will switch to 4 card at 40-50 cents a way. Anything over $100 or so in credits I will parlay to bigger minimum bets.

Wow, that's insane with all electronic games it sounds like!

I won $10,000 playing Baccarat and Paigow at my local card room.
Would love to know how you did that! What strategy did you use? The most I've won at bac in a single day is about $1,400.

Any tips and tricks when you play keno? Certain machines to look for and denominations?

whoa nice. My wish has always been to rock a smaller jackpot, move over to high limit with my new bankroll and hit something like this.
